Why do you wake up in the morning? Why do you do what you do?

These were the questions that a friend of mine, Jeremy Cox, had shared with me during our most recent conversation.

For me, it's moments like the one I experienced with him (below) that serve as the answers to the questions above.

For as long as I could remember, I've had a deep desire to connect with others.

From hosting groups of people through Overcoming Odds, to facilitating workshops across different college campuses, to engaging in deep and meaningful podcast conversations, to hosting Saturday morning calls, “Courageous Conversations”.

It wasn't always easy to articulate the purpose of my life, but over time, it became more and more clear.

As I understand it today, what brings me the greatest joy in this current chapter of my life is creating spaces where fellow humans can be fully human.

Creating spaces for people to explore the depths of their emotions.

Creating spaces for people to create connections with themselves and others.

Creating spaces for people to express themselves, whether it’s moments of joy or vulnerability, tears or laughter.

Creating spaces for people to love and be loved.

Below, you'll find my friend, Jeremy Cox, describing his thoughts and feelings upon receiving his own Moments Worth Remembering book.

Learning about his reaction was truly priceless.

The look on his face, even weeks after the event, spoke volumes.

I believe that one of the reasons why we exist is to create meaningful moments like these with each other.

I hope that those who truly know me can recognize the same person I see when I look in the mirror - an advocate for others.

Just another human, up close or from afar, striving to understand, connect and love more deeply!
